Extensive work has taken place replanting the water at Brookhouse Pool over the last few days, thanks to AJS Fisheries, curtesy of Sibleco Ltd Sand Quarry, Goostrey.
The plants will help to take the nitrates out of the water, helping to produce sustained oxygen for the fish.
The matting will help to stablise the bank. There are another 12 lily beds to be planted which will complete this phase of the regeneration of the water.
There will be a restock of fish due in October, consisting of tench and crucian carp, approximately 350 fish once the plants have become established.
