YOUTH DEVELOPMENT MATTERS AT BAY MALTON
At Bay Malton Angling Club we believe when it comes to fishing, this activity offers more than just recreational enjoyment.
Youth development is a crucial aspect of our ethos, nurturing the potential of young individuals and helping them to become productive and successful members of society through angling.
We believe fishing contributes to the growth and well-being of young people by teaching many life skills such as: –

By working in collaboration with outside agencies, we continue to grow our Youth Development programme. Young anglers are actively encouraged and welcome to join our club at any time.

For those young potential anglers out there who want to learn how to fish, contact Neil at Top Cast Angling. He is an experienced Angling Coach who offers tuition on a one to one or group basis. BANK HOLIDAY MONDAY MAY 5TH 2025 – JUNIOR ANGLING COACHING
So, this Bank Holiday, we kicked off our Junior Angling Coaching sessions here at Bay Malton Angling Club. The day was attended by 20 Junior anglers and was successfully run by Mike, Lee and Les, our dedicated fishing coaches from Top Cast Angling.
These guys were put through their paces, with lots of questions from our keen anglers who caught an abundance of willing and compliant fish!! The fish in Gibbo’s Pool seemed to love our young anglers.
We would like to thank Neil from Top Cast Angling, for providing our coaches for the day, the children learned so much and are keen to continue to use the skills they have learned. Many children were excited at the prospect of visiting again and catching more fish.
Everyone had a great time. The children had lots of fun and it was a joy to see how much their confidence grew when handling the fish. It was so nice to see everyone enjoying themselves and having some, quality family time.
We would like to thank the children for coming along, to the parents/carers for supporting them, for giving them the opportunity to get involved. These are memories that will stay with them for life. Mission accomplished!!
Going forward, we are in the process of organising further coaching sessions for our juniors, so if you think that your child would enjoy coming along, watch out for our emails and facebook posts.
